Job Summary
FOOD SERVICE WORKER: responsible for the preparation of patient meal trays on an assembly line, preparation and portioning of sandwiches, salads, beverages, desserts, and supplements, cleaning of patient trays, minor equipment and floors, and receiving and storing freight.

DOMESTIC WORKER: responsible for ensuring the facilities are maintained in a safe, clean and aseptic condition. This primarily includes cleaning and disinfecting of patient, resident and special clinic areas, as well as, public areas and general office cleaning. Other duties include project cleaning, floor maintenance, and operating housekeeping equipment.

LAUNDRY WORKER: responsible for collecting and sorting soiled linen and resident clothing, folding, pressing, storing, and delivering clean linens and resident clothing to appropriate areas, and operating and cleaning industrial washers and dryers, and steam/flat irons.

COOK I: responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for patients, caterings and special functions. Cooking for all meals and breaks will include entrees, vegetables, soups, salads, desserts and baked items as per cyclic menu. Duties will also include portion control, developing and adjusting standardizing recipes, cleaning utensils, pots and equipment.

Job Demands
By applying for this job, you acknowledge an understanding that regular requirements and demands of this job include (but are not limited to):
Regularly lifts/moves objects/supplies between 10-50 lbs., and occasionally over 50 lbs.
Regularly uses body movement to bend, crouch, kneel and reach, as well as frequent standing/walking and firm grasping.
Pushes and pulls with medium forces with firm grasping automatic and manual cleaning equipment.
Regularly completes repetitive tasks requiring attentiveness and alertness for health and safety of self and others.

Job Qualifications
Graduation from High School or equivalent.
Ability to work independently and with other staff while following written and oral instructions and guidelines is required.
Previous experience working in a large scale commercial or institutional operation would be an asset.
Successful completion of an approved Cooking Program is required to work as a Cook.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
