Job Description:
– Results Driven
– 2 – 5 years supervisory experience in a warehouse work environment
– Class 5 driver’s license
– forklift certification as asset
– level 1 first aid or above an asset
– Proven experience in warehouse production processes
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to train and coach subordinates to achieve maximum productivity
– Ability to multitask and manage time sensitive tasks
– Proven experience motivating team members to reach production quotas.
– Experience setting and communicating expectations to team members and ensuring accountability from team members.
– Ability to produce a variety of reports through the proficient use of MS Office.
– Knowledge (and adherence to) BC Government Electronics Stewardships and sorting procedures
– Ability to arrange delivery and pickup of Electronics
– Inventory control of both products and resources
– Inspect and enforce daily safety sheets (pre-start up inspections). Notify Manager of any equipment needing repair
– Maintain and oversee a clean and organized Electronics inventory system
– Scheduling of staff
– Hold daily meeting to set team expectations
– Provide prescribed equipment, materials, and protective devices
– Ensure workers work in accordance with protective devices, procedures and requirements of the Act and Regulations
– Take every precaution for the protection of workers
– Ensure Occupational Health & Safety Act and company policies are posted for all employees
– Take all reasonable precautions to protect workers
– Track and record all loads being received and shipped in the authorized tracking sheets
– Ensure employees are following policies
– Ensure employees are reaching quotas set in conjunction with the Distribution Manager
– Constant attention to perform job safety is required
– Predetermined deadlines must be met. Responsible for effectiveness of multiple functions (e.g., dock area, ordering function, sorting and packing functions)
– Work requires long periods of repetitious tasks
– Substantial physical exertion is required for lifting and movement of heavy boxes and furniture, and operation of some equipment. Constant high level of lifting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting
