As an Entity Controller for Canada, you will play a vital role in supporting and delivering these objectives. You will be responsible for the financial reporting of business growth and expenses of a portfolio of entities across Canada. You will have the opportunity to participate and/or manage impactful global and cross-functional projects. As a well-rounded financial advisor you will guide the business to mitigate risk, optimize resource allocation and help build the financial infrastructure to scale the business.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the annual statutory financial statements process (e.g., management of the external audit and tax compliance for Alphabet entities in Canada).
• Perform regular in-depth analysis on the financials, ensuring the integrity and financial accuracy of our books and records.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions related to US GAAP (e.g., profit and loss accounting and flux analysis, month end close process and reporting, general accounting and tax filings, and all related statutory obligations).
• Manage delivery of accounting processes performed by external vendors ensuring that all service levels are met, the internal control environment is robust and a quality service is provided.
• Represent Controllership and Finance with our business partners through effective communication with in-country business managers, technical accounting, tax, treasury, legal, regulatory compliance, internal audit, sales finance and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
