Specific Job Description

The selected candidate for this role will be responsible to produce accurate engine cost estimates and invoices, as well as liaising with all other business unit departments on engine repair cost related topics. The candidate will also need to track the billing process to ensure timely invoicing of work performed.

  • Prepare cost estimates, quotes and invoices for engine shop visits and/or piece parts
  • Investigate charges and obtain back-up information as necessary from other departments (engineering, production, supply chain, etc.)
  • Collect, investigate & combine costing data and/or additional data needed to complete a cost estimate/invoice
  • Review and action customer disputed charges
  • Understand contractual and technical requirements impacting costing and pricing elements of proposals
  • Take part in the implementation of Customer Invoicing objectives and assist in executing changes to processes and systems to improve invoicing productivity
  • Monitor all related KPIs on a monthly basis
  • Routinely examine methodologies to find ways of improving predictive accuracy
  • Investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Identify Request For Proposal (RFP) content requirements (technical, commercial, schedule) and coordinate the bid response plan with the team (i.e., sales, engineering, project management, finance, and contracts)
  • Prepare and present financial analysis of engine performance, and quantify risks and opportunities
  • Delivering accurate, insightful and timely analysis compared against forecasts and budgets.
  • Perform variety of general support tasks as defined by management.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in a similar position
  • SAP and/or Quantum Experience
  • Strong Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Prioritization and organization skills
  • Must have very good problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work both independently and part of a team
  • Effective communicator
  • Bilingual (English & French).

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

  • Knowledge of engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business desired
  • Request for Proposal (RFP) experience
