Entity and activity description
The Canada Operations Control and Business Intelligence (BI) Finance team is made of 5 employees of several nationalities, based in Montréal Canada and Houston US. They work in close relationship with the Operations controller of the four Canadian Business Units.
Missions and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Control Manager, your main project will be to review, define and optimize the finance datamodel in our ERP and in our business intelligence tools.
You will work in close relationship with the accounting and finance teams, the operations, IT, and the different Air Liquide affiliates and countries impacted by this project.
Your main objectives will be:
- Gather and formally define the business requirements
- Run preliminary tests on the proposed changes to ensure functional applicability
- Coordinate and align all affiliates in the Americas using the same Oracle ERP (USA, Canada, Mexico, Trinidad, Dominican, Argentina)
- Coordinate the implementation with the Business Services and the IT teams in development and then in production environments
- Run and coordinate the tests by ERP users in development and then in production environments
- Work with IT and the BI teams to reflect changes made in the ERP in other systems: OBIEE, Hyperion-Essbase, Power BI
- Accompany and coordinate the update of reportings by the different system users (operations control, accounting, etc.)
- Define the Finance data model in coordination with the Power BI project, the Finance and the Group Data teams.
- Work on other finance and ad hoc projects for the operations and the management.
Competencies and Profile
- Engineering background / Business School background
Field of specialization: Finance, Operations Control, Audit, Accounting with 1-2 years of work experience
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Very well organized and structured approach of complex problems
- Ability to evolve in a multi-cultural and quickly evolving environment
- IT: affinity with IT systems, strong Excel skills, knowledge of ERPs and datamodels an asset
- Soft skills: strong ability to adapt and learn, good oral and written communication skills, well-organized, ability to manage several topics in parallel and to keep track of the big picture
- English and French mandatory

The VIE position will be based in Montreal, Canada, for 12 months.
