Job Requirements

  • University degree (Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred)
  • Completed or working towards CPA, CFA or other accounting/financial designations would be an asset
  • 3 or more years of professional experience centered in areas such as financials, analytics, accounting
  • Proficiency and experience with Excel and Powerpoint and financial reporting systems such as Hyperion Smartview, Oracle Business Intelligence (Tableau and Alteryx would be an asset)

Job Description

This role will support the OCISO and Protect Fusion Finance team by performing financial reporting, analysis, and accounting due diligence to support the end-to-end financial planning and analysis process. This reporting and analysis will be leveraged to ensure operational and strategic decisions executed by the Enterprise Protect executive team are aligned and balanced with the corresponding financial impact, constraints, and drive Shareholder value. More specifically, the responsibilities of this role include:

  • Generating financial reports that show performance of results versus expense budgets and forecasts as well as ensuring that the reports are properly maintained and updated for any organizational changes such as department merges and hierarchy changes
  • Ensuring that the reported financial results comply with accounting standards and internal audit/controls by performing strong due diligence/vetting of posted transactions and executing required ledger entries such as accruals, deferrals, and internal re-allocations
  • Assisting in the quarterly financial forecasting and annual budgeting process by gathering operational requirement data from the Enterprise Protect team, Business Management Group, and Vendor Management
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentation packages that will be used to communicate financial performance to the Enterprise Protect executive team

In addition to the above, there is a strong focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation with the goal of enhancing financial reporting insights and transparency while decreasing workload and cycle times.

  • Highly skilled and experienced in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with a multitude of business partners
  • Effective communication (both written and verbal), facilitation, and consensus-building skills
  • Taking leadership and ownership of processes and results to drive successful outcomes
  • Highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work with and distill large amounts of data into meaningful information with minimal management supervision

  • Possesses ability to manage several projects/tasks concurrently
  • Expertise in accounting guidelines and rules
