CUSTOMER FINANCE SENIOR MANAGER – Danone Canada
The Customer Finance Senior Manager is a key member of the Topline Finance Team and is responsible for leading Customer Finance Team of 4 and provide financial oversight and leadership to Retail Sales Organization ensuring that balanced growth and profitability strategies are planned and achieved.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for developing a robust financial planning process with the Sales teams:
- Ensure clear understand the risks and opportunities with the Sales teams
- Ensure that recommended plans are aligned with the financial objectives of the Company
- Enforce trade compliance through governance and tight control of Trade Spend programs.
- Ensure ROI targets and funding principles are met
- Initiate further process enhancements to drive efficiencies and tighter controls
- Lead monthly & annual trade reconciliation processes, and ensure year-end trade accruals are complete, accurate and delivered on deadline.
- Lead the Topline Rolling Forecast process from the finance side, ensuring alignment with strategic vision, liaising with business partners to enable delivery of financial objectives
- Provide insight and analytics on Volume, Rate, and Margin $ variances versus forecast, prior year and plan by customer/product:
- Communicate concerns and recommend solutions for closing gaps & driving share, or for modifying/adjusting activities to variations from the strategy.
- Develop and coach a team of 4 direct reports
Required profile:
- Bachelor’s in business administration or Accounting
- CPA professional title (an asset)
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in financial analysis, ideally at least 3 years in business analysis
- Experience in the CPG sector in driving business performance
- Bilingual: English and French (an asset)
- Accurate, rigorous and organized and results-oriented
- Ability to work in a team with a good sense of leadership in a moving environment
