Job Summary:
The Flower Supervisor reports to the Cultivation Manager and will be responsible for delivering high quality cannabis, consistent with Zenabis Grow Plan and expectations. The Flower Supervisor will oversee an assigned team and will ensure all the tasks in the cultivation and growing area for assigned flower and vegetation rooms are met. The Flower Supervisor will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cultivation processes follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and meet compliance standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise effectiveness of cultivation activities to ensure compliance with regulatory framework
- Ensure Zenabis grow plan and grow methods are followed in line with expectations and standards
- Oversee assigned Flower and/or Vegetation team to ensure cultivation targets are achieved
- Conduct personal development and performance management planning for assigned Flower team including ongoing proficiency training and smooth onboarding in adherence to corporate strategic initiatives
- Maintain and promote a positive work environment through collaborative discussions and structured team communications
- Ensure flower and vegetation room metrics meet the appropriate standards and are reported in a consistent manner
- Ensure Flower and Vegetation teams strictly adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ensures team activities are compliant with all Health Canada standards
- Work closely with the Cultivation Manager, other supervisors and other subject matter experts to help identify opportunities for improvement, quality and yield
- Work in collaboration with Quality Assurance to ensure GDP, GPP and GACP Standards are followed
- Investigate deviations, implementing CAPA’s with appropriate follow up as necessary
- Ensure all ERP reporting is completed in timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture or equivalent commercial growing experience would be preferred
- Demonstrated experience in cultivation of cannabis or other delicate commercial crops
- Expert knowledge in plant disease and pest mitigation without use of chemicals
- Experience with automated environmental control software, programming, determining set points and monitoring practices
- Health Canada Security Clearance will be required
- Knowledge and compliance with GPP, GMP and GLP will be required
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Security Clearance: Security Clearance may be required for this position.
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday through Friday; Shift and weekend work may be necessary.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25lbs minimum; long hours of standing may be required.
