Position Title: Batch Operator 1- One Year Contract
Report To: Operations Manager -Fruition Fruits and Fills
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for producing quality products that meet company specifications while following proper Fruition Fruits & Fills GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
- Using PLC based program, prepares various products to specifications using formula sheet with high attention to detail. Follows all HACCP procedures.
- Accurately weighs all ingredients required for each batch.
- Completes all documentation required for each batch of product including pre-operation form, CIP temperature chart, records weights accurately on formula sheet, product yield, Tote Release Tag.
- Brings product samples to QA for inspection and release and advises QA of any product deviations.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area up to audit standards (AIB, BRC)
- Follows all health and safety, GMP and food safety and allergen regulations and policies and reports deviations to the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow formula sheets and weigh ingredients accurately
- Ability to accurately record data
- WHMIS, Safety Training, Food Safety Training knowledge an asset
- Knowledge of GMP, food safety, health and safety required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with adaptability to change
- Detailed understanding of all aspects of the fruition processing operation an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/distribution environment preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to safety operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs ( 22.7 kg) is required
