Job title: General Labourer/Rubber Manufacturing

Job description: In this position workers make items out of natural and synthetic rubber materials. They soften, shape, cure, cut, mold, and otherwise treat rubber to make all different products. Three mixing lines which include working with raw materials, kongs and car bushings, etc. Performing the “Dump Millman” job which entails cutting down and working or processing “HOT” mixed rubber compound from a “Rubber Mill” using a “Hand Held” knife and transferring the “Hot” mixed rubber compound, via a transfer conveyor, to be processed further on a subsequent mill.

  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, results oriented team environment
  • Must be goal oriented and able to consistently meet quality and production requirements
  • Ability to follow instructions

Job Requirements:

  • must be clean shaven enough to be fit tested for respirator
  • must be able to work in a shop with carbon residue
  • shower facilities provided
  • must be able to work in extreme temperatures
  • CSA Approved work boots, change of clothes as the plant can get dirty, showers are located there as well, need to be able to wear a mask.
  • Experience in a rubber manufacturing setting would be an asset.

Shifts: Rotation: 2 weeks of days (7am to 4pm) and 1 week of afternoons (4pm to 1am). There are 2, 30 min breaks
