We have a rewarding career opportunity for a high-net-worth, risk management field specialist. As a successful candidate, you will become part of a team of risk management professionals servicing Aviva Canada’s High Net Worth clients coast to coast.

This is a work from home and field role primarily covering the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island B.C. Occasional travel may be required to provide coverage to wider areas of Western Canada. A candidate based in the Greater Vancouver or Victoria area is ideal.

A passion for engaging customers and using your ‘reading the room’ skills to provide the best customer experiences.

High value residential site visits to gather information and data to complete detailed surveys. These reports are used to determine the replacement cost of high value homes and assess risk and compliance with our underwriting guidelines.

Survey completion includes producing diagrams and forms that will detail building construction data, finishes, features, square footage, occupancy information, security and maintenance.

Educating clients and supporting underwriting with loss prevention data, to reduce exposure to fire, water damage, and losses due to crime and liability.

Provide additional resources to High Net Worth Underwriting for consultations surrounding risk to value exposure during the quoting/binding process.

What you’ll bring

Field survey experience in High Net Worth risk management is preferred.

Experience in residential risk management (5+ years) preferred.

Education or courses relevant to residential risk management, valuation and/or other insurance accreditation will be an asset.

Familiarity with Loss Control 360 and APEXv7 sketch will be an asset.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills, strong interpersonal and presentation skills are important in this role.

Ability to recognize and develop appropriate solutions on the fly.

Work well independently, this role has a balanced degree of autonomy with direct accountability.

A valid driver’s license is required
