Responsibilities:
Adhere to all engineering safety norms and procedures
Stay in constant contact with co-workers, managers, and other departments
Work in collaboration with other technicians who will assist you with a variety of maintenance tasks
Manage the hotel’s machinery and preventive maintenance procedures
Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand
Take care of guest complaints regarding building maintenance and troubleshoot issues
- To ensure that standards of punctuality, staff appearance and dress are maintained always in accordance with Hotel policy
- To ensure all staff are competent in the safe and effective use of equipment/chemicals in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions
- To ensure compliance with company and house rules
Qualifications:
Experience with facilities management software is preferred
A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, chemical and heating and cooling systems
- 4-6 years commercial building experience with a good understanding of a large variety of equipment
- Previous management in engineering/ maintenance experience required or equivalent training
- Certifications may be required
