Job description: The Best Western Dorchester Hotel located in downtown Nanaimo is an unique award winning hotel that is seeking dynamic hard working individuals to join our fantastic team in the housekeeping department. We are looking for individuals who take pride in providing excellent service to our valued hotel guests. Hotel provides training and offers health benefits package. Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, time management skills
- Ability to clean, dust, polish, vacuum guest rooms
- Ability to make beds, wash walls, clean tubs/toilets
- Ability to lift and carry 10 to 15 Kilograms
- Physically able to bend, stretch and lean to make beds.
- Must be able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to organize tasks to clean hotel rooms and general public areas in the hotel
Hours:
*Approx. 24 – 38 hours/week, position
- Mostly working the hours of 8:00am to 4:30 pm – 9:00am to 5:30pm on Sundays
- Weekend work is required every Saturday and Sunday
- This is a permanent position- when business level increase this will be come a full-time position in May 2021 to October 2021 depending on travel regulations due to Covid 19 pandemic
- The Best Western Dorchester will train individuals wanting to join our team and work in the hospitality industry.
- Health Benefits are provided after probationary working period of 90 days. Recommended Training:
- Salary/Wage: $15.00 per hour to start based on experience
