About the Company
Our client is a leader in the metal distribution and processing industry. They are looking for an Information Systems Auditor to provide an independent assessment of the internal control environment and the effectiveness of control procedures. This will be accomplished by executing the audit projects defined in the annual audit certification plan.

About the Opportunity
- Assist in identifying and evaluating the organization’s information technology risk areas
- Assist in the updating of the IT audit universe and the annual audit plan
- Develop audit project planning memos for assigned audits which includes defining the objectives and scope and the assurance testing strategy
- Contribute to the development of an IT audit methodology for compliance with the IIA Professional Practices Framework
- Perform research to design IT assurance strategies for topics defined in the audit universe
- Perform the following audit procedures: identify and define issues, review and analyze evidence, and document audited processes and procedures
- Prepare working papers to support procedural results
- Identify, develop and document audit issues and make recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
- Participate in drafting audit reports
- Present drafts to the Team Leader and/or CAE for review and approval
- Assist with the communication of the audit results and consulting projects via written reports and/or oral presentations to Management
- Finalize audit reports ensuring all review notes are clear
- Participate as a consultant on significant IT projects in an audit/control capacity
- Coordinate and provide assistance to the external auditors required as part of the annual audit
- Monitor any work performed by IT consultants contracted to provide internal audit services and review their deliverables
- Transfer unresolved or open control deficiencies to the follow up system
- Make recommendations on ways to improve audit work processes
About You
- CPA
- 1-3 years of experience in IT including audit experience through the firm (IT audit/advisory) or a publicly traded company
- Proficient with ACL and the use of Data Analytics tools is asset
- CISA Designation (or in progress) is an asset
Salary Range
$80,000 – $90,000/year
