For decades, JSI has also been a specified National Supplier for the likes of Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, IHG & Best Western. In this role, we have made our name supplying & installing Millwork, Cabinetry & Casegoods that meet the requirements of each brand’s standards. We set ourselves apart from the pack by working from the brand prototypes first, and then adapting this knowledge to each new project that comes across our table.
OVERALL SCOPE OF POSITION
The Junior Sales Associate will assist the sales team in maintaining and developing new and existing client accounts within our existing and emerging markets.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the J SUSS sales team through various representations with our customers – existing and
potential
- Analyze estimate costs provided by the estimating department, and verify market positioning
during bidding process
- Communicate with Contractors during bidding stage
- Select appropriate ITBs to accept, based on the Sales Department strategy
- Produce and maintain analytics on hit ratio by customers/regions/brands and to inform on the
Sales Department strategy
- Keep the department informed on success rate
- Review hotel bids for Kitchen and Millwork projects and extract pertinent information for the
sales team.
- Maintain the CRM system by:
– Keeping discussion notes updated, expected closing dates, probability of sale,
ongoing/upcoming tasks.
– Maintain all follow-up schedules for outstanding bids.
- Order, QC, Submit Samples
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to dissect hotel bids for Kitchen and Millwork projects in a timely manner
- Superior communication/listening skills – ability to converse easily with construction projects
stakeholders (estimators, project engineers, Project Managers).
- Ability to capture and interpret contractors’ feedback regarding our cost assessment
- Ability to navigate technical documents such as bidding letters, details, summaries, as well as
architectural drawings and specs
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Sales & Marketing or DEC in Industrial Design
– 2-5 years experience in sales – in a Kitchen showroom environment would be an asset
– Advanced Excel
– Bilingualism – Advanced English
– Ability to work in a fast paced sales team environment
– Drive and objective to obtain increasing responsibilities in sales
