Our expectations:

Under the direction of the Inventory Supervisor, the Inventory Coordinator (Distribution Center) is responsible for organizing inventory counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and applying proper inventory adjustments. By monitoring the products and the accuracy of the facility’s processes, the Coordinator ensures the correct quantity and quality of products get to the customer with the least possible impact on shrink.

*Location: Rocky View Distribution Center

*Shift: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm

Your role:

  • Ensure the annual cycle-count plan is on track by effectively utilizing cycle-counting resources, assigning work through WMS systems and maintaining control of locations counted
  • Investigate the root causes of inventory discrepancies and develop corrective action plans with Operations
  • Investigate store inventory claims and make the necessary adjustments
  • Resolve pending recount investigations
  • Help organize audits as needed
  • Maintain effective daily processes to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Update reports weekly to track count progress and inventory accuracy
  • Assist with regular cycle counts in the facility as needed
  • Ensure adjustments are made to the financial inventory account
  • Update Distribution Center (DC) inventory to be aligned with the supply chain as needed
  • Investigate any other Distribution Center (DC) inventory issues, identify root causes and recommend process improvements
  • Perform other duties as required

The qualifications we are looking for:

  • 2-3 years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) (required); experience with Blue Yonder (a strong asset)
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Access/Excel
  • Ability to multitask and handle change well
  • Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among peers
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and creatively resolve complex problems
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with others
