We are looking for an IT Solutions Lead, Information Technology who can work remote within any of our Canadian offices to join our End User Services team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and assist in technical development for planning, designing, upgrading, installing, testing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform.
  • ServiceNow subject matter expert (SME) who will assist with our ServiceNow portfolio of high-value opportunities with tactical delivery through alignment of vision, mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Main liaison between business leaders/stakeholders, internal IT, and service providers/vendors responsible for converting business requirements into technical and functional specifications.
  • Work closely with the business and internal IT to research, design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions via ServiceNow to improve business processes for our service lines.
  • Activation and configuration of ServiceNow applications to meet business needs.
  • Configure and develop enhancements, form changes, etc. as needed.
  • Development of flows, workflows, and scripts to update and enhance existing ServiceNow modules.
  • Formulate and define specifications and modifications for the ServiceNow platform in terms of business needs and applying that to BDO’s ServiceNow Strategic roadmap and objectives.
  • Responsible for aligning internal support activities with our outsourced service providers to ensure seamless integration and operations in the BDO support ecosystem, with a focus on high quality and level of service.
  • Ensure service tools and processes are in place to enable outsourced vendors to perform their duties.
  • Transform business needs to tangible items within ServiceNow, from using modules available to the platform or creating new modules and help complete detailed documentation for workflows and services implemented.
  • Stay up to date with technology by evaluating ITSM tools to be cutting edge to assist IT and the firm with their service strategy and roadmap.

Your experience and education

  • You have a University Degree or College Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • You have the ITIL v3 Foundation Certification combined with experience within the ITIL framework
  • You have experience with ServiceNow, BMC or similar
  • You have working knowledge and experience in MS suite of products (O365)
  • You have excellent facilitation, presentation, verbal and written skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to both business and technical staff
  • You have excellent analytical, time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • You have demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • You have self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends and industry standards
  • If you have experience working in professional services, it will be considered an asset
