IT Support Analyst – Network Infrastructure Team
Lower Mainland, BC
The Network Infrastructure team is responsible for managing five categories of systems and
support
- Security
- Provider and enterprise networking infrastructure
- IPTV Service
- Operational support systems
- Virtual/Cloud infrastructure
The IT Support Analyst is responsible for responding to the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders, and to the determine IT Tools and environments required for effective operations and solution delivery. They must be able to manage multiple work streams and provide support for the customer facing teams in order to ensure timely delivery of our TV and Internet services.
As a member of our Operations team, you will implement and provide support for our infrascture operational support systems.
Specific duties include:
- Work with internal teams to understand and develop requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to provision delivery and monitoring tools as required.
- Install and configure system software to meet the requirements of the project design.
- Maintain Systems Design documentation on system configuration and installation procedures.
- Manage and schedule allocation of system resources.
- Support systems beyond installation as needs progress.
- Perform regular updates and maintenance activities in accordance with departmental procedures and
- standards to ensure that the project follows corporate/departmental standards.
- Create automated scripts as required to simplify repetitive operations tasks.
- 2nd level incident support, including rotating off-hours pager support.

The successful candidate will have the following:
- Communication: Ability to formulate concepts; communication of technical information to a non-technical
- audience; communication of business information to a technical audience.
- Ability to use Linux command line tools and perform basic system administration.
- Understanding of problem and change management
- Skilled in troubleshooting in fast paced environment.
- Plans work in advance by thinking though actions necessary to complete tasks though to deadline.
- Self-starter with Figure-it-out attitude and can perform under demanding project timelines.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Information Systems Computer Science is required.
- 3+ years of Information Technology experience.
- Demonstrable experience in operations.
- Demonstrable experience working remotely
- Demonstrable experience working with datacentre equipment.
- Provide off-hours support on a rotating basis.
- Experience in one or more scripting languages (bash, Perl, Python)
- Working knowledge of networking protocols and components including TCP/IP, DNS, NFS.
The successful candidate will have the following (nice to have):
- Firewall, networking or linux certifications from a major vendor
- Experience with automation (Ansible) and monitoring (PRTG, Prometheus, etc)
- Development experience
- Bilingual French/English
