Job title: J0622-1312 – Oracle DBA
Job description: Responsibilities
– Create, review, execute Database script as per the request in production and non- production environments.
– Database monitoring and enhance database alerting
– Troubleshoot any database related issues in production and non-production environments.
– Support client application development and releases
– Support database automations activities
– Understand and analyze instance performance, investigate performance issues, wait events, able to read and understand AWRs
Skills required
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
Strong experience with performance tuning of Oracle databases, highly available transactional systems, data replication, and database clusters.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience, understand and be able to write complex SQL queries, able to improve performance of queries
Unix/Linux experience and good knowledge of Shell scripting.
Knowledge of highly available, distributed, multi-master databases.
Solid knowledge end experience using Oracle replication (Golden Gate)/Oracle RAC implementations.
Strong knowledge of different types of Oracle database objects including indexes, partitioning, materialized views, keys etc.
Security: auditing, role separation
Proficient in data structures, indexes, partitioning concepts, LOBS, compression
Familiarity with Oracle Exadata is an asset
Understand oracle infrastructure, RAC, dataguard, backup and recovery, HA concepts, Exadata knowledge is nice to have
Goldengate and other databases proficiency is a good addition, but not a must
