Job summary
We’re looking for an exceptional Knowledge Management Specialist to join our fast-growing team at Cazoo, helping to transform the way people buy used cars and making buying a car no different to buying any other product online today.
Cazoo’s Product and Technology teams are growing at a spectacular rate. Like many other organisations, we are adapting to flexible working practices with a blend of office and home working, as well as synchronous and asynchronous communication. Unlike most other companies, the vast majority of our team joined relatively recently! In this context, ensuring all of our documentation and content is managed seamlessly is becoming increasingly critical. We would therefore like to hire an experienced, collaborative and highly organised Knowledge Manager.
What you will be doing
- Ensure all documentation and content needed by Product Engineering teams is available, accessible and discoverable by the right people at the right time.
- Own, maintain and communicate the overall Product Engineering information architecture strategy, and high level taxonomy, ensuring everyone is clear on “what information goes where”.
- Define and manage the information architecture, templates and conventions for each of our documentation and content repositories, including Notion, G Suite and Miro.
- Identify and lead improvements to the way we manage and discover information, researching and introducing new tools where valuable.
- Support teams in effectively publishing and broadcasting content to others.
- Manage our internal video library, implementing tools and processes to ensure teams can tag, publish, share and access all relevant video content.
- Manage user groups across all of our documentation and collaboration tools.
- Manage and improve the established Product Engineering RFC process.
Required skills and experience
- Some experience performing a similar role in Knowledge Management or Information Architecture successfully
- A solid understanding of introducing information architecture principles into an organisation.
- Some knowledge of data protection and privacy principles and practices.
- A track record of driving iterative and incremental process improvement.
- Fastidious attention to detail and a highly structured approach to problem solving.
- Motivated by helping others to become more effective and a collaborative approach to driving change.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast moving, modern, agile environment.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with some of our knowledge management tools, especially Notion.
- Knowledge of search tools.
