Our Logistics Clerk will be responsible for providing day-to-day inbound and outbound freight duties to uphold the company’s logistics functions, which includes tracking inventory information and availability of products, ensuring order fulfilment, and filling out any paperwork or providing documentation for each shipment. Some of the additional expectations of this role include:

Preparing orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area
Unloading merchandise from the trucks and checking to ensure that they match with the delivery documents such as the bill of lading, a shipping invoice or delivery note
Verifying that the goods are intact and reporting any defects
Performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits.
Maintaining inventory controls by collecting stock location orders
Conducting weekly cycle counts
Maintaining quality service by following organization standards
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Communicating and cooperating with supervisors and coworkers
Coordinating of incoming and outgoing freight shipments for local and national movements
Managing paperwork (cargo control documents, purchasing orders, etc.) and ensuring all required documentation is included with incoming and outgoing shipments
Maintaining shipping/receiving documents
Ensuring shipping and receiving documents are checked and filed daily
Maintaining the pre-check on the equipment (forklifts, batteries, ladders, and all other equipment) as per quality management control
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
Performing other warehouse duties as assigned

The successful candidate must be a professional, highly motivated, self-starter with keen attention to detail and the ability to safely execute high-quality work on time, every time. They will bring with them strong communication and customer service skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively with team members, as well as independently, to deliver high-quality service and support to our customers. Given the service and solutions focus of our business, they will also be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to address changing situations and priorities.

A strong background in hands-on work; a demonstrated mindset towards continuous learning, as well as an ability to use/learn technology solutions in the execution of their work is a must. They must also possess a valid driver’s license. Overtime may be necessary; therefore, flexibility in hours of work will be required. A Candidate with previous experience in fire inspection or a related field would be preferred. Combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered.
