LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Job title: LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Job description: We are looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company (Lacolle and Châteauguay plant). As a Logistics Coordinator, you will manage personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. You will also prepare reports, process business transactions, such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense and other duties pertaining to inbound and outbound freight within the Plant and all other plant locations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the department personnel.
• Supervise orders and equipment to ensure they meet needs.
• Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers to achieve mutual satisfaction.
• Coordinates with vendors and freight forwarders shipping of all import orders.
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
• Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders.
• Assists in the tracking and tracing of orders.
• Prepares and closes all freight claims.
• Assists in cost/rate retrieval for domestic and international freight lanes.
• Track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
• Provide assistance and support to the department.
• Verify the orders before the shipments.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Must a high school diploma.
• Education in Logistics and Transportation an asset.
• Proven experience in logistics (1 to 3 years)
• Must be bilingual.
• Must have experience in personnel management.
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, databases and logistics software’s (OLM).
• Experience in customer service.
• Aptitude for numbers.
