Job description: Robert Half is currently recruiting for a highly organized and motivated Logistics Coordinator who is looking to grow their career. Then we have a great opportunity for you. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will work closely with production, sales, finance and customers. This is a full time, in office position located in Kitchener, On.
Arrange shipments and pickups including courier, air, and less-than-truckload. With opportunity to grow into full truck, less-than-container load, and full-container.
- Prepare important shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, B13A export declarations, certificates of origin, others as necessary.
- Communicate with customers and forwarders for document approvals and revisions.
- Coordinate container and trailer arrivals with shipping/production departments, warehouses, and carriers.
- Resolve customs delays.
- Assist Procurement Team by coordinating inbound freight
- Arrange inter-warehouse shipments
- Prepare shipping quotes for customers and sales.
- Work with ERP software (Infor CSI) to add shipping charges and deliver inventory.
- General filing and record keeping.
- Carrier quoting and selection for inbound and outbound shipments
- Preparation of loading schedule for shipping department
- Containment and reduction of freight costs
- Assist with special projects as necessary.

Requirements
- 3 or more years experience in Logistics
- post secondary education in Supply Chain or a related field is an asset
