SBI is looking for a Logistics & Fulfillment Team Lead. The Logistics and Fulfillment Supervisor will lead the shipping activities of the logistics team for the Microfluidics products. The individual will ensure inbound and outbound shipments are sent properly in accordance with standard practices. The individual will facilitate the resolution of logistics issues and provide input for process improvements. The successful candidate will be highly reliable, detail oriented, organized, articulate, and proactive, with outstanding interpersonal skills and professionalism.
Description:
- Manage day-to-day shipping activities including the staging, packaging, document generation, and transaction processing of Microfluidics product shipments.
- Communicate closely with package and freight companies regarding shipment requirements, delivery time frames, import/export details, duties/taxes, customs issues, proof of deliveries, and issue resolution.
- Ensure the shipping team is documenting and communicating order details to international distribution centers, and assist in managing the fulfillment of sales orders to worldwide customers.
- Initiate process changes to improve operations and reduce costs
- Transact product conversions, shipments, movements, transfers, in the corporate ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX) and sales force.
- Assist to investigate and resolve customer complaints; and assist to implement corrective actions
- Sets daily priorities to ensure timely execution
- Maintain expertise in logistics regulations and continuously train staff on changes
- Able to process and handle dangerous goods and temperature sensative shipments
- Knowledge of international shipping with customs and trade complaince.
- Create shipping and receiving work instructions and logistics SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) with an ability to measure OTD (on time delivery) performance KPI.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Logistics certificate or Bachelor’s degree a plus
- Experience working with SalesForce for transactional and shipping requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant business setting within Logistics, Materials Management and Warehousing
- Life Science industry experience preferred
- Thorough and detail oriented, with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Applies independent judgment to solve problems outside of established processes and procedures
- Strong experience in international import/export and customs regulations
- Strong experience in contract negotiations with freight companies at a global level
- Strong ERP skills and experience
- Strong MS-Office and computer skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, accurate, and conscientious
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs to shoulder height
