Logistics Reporting Analyst
As McCain strives to become “shipper of choice” within the NA frozen transportation industry, this position will lead the communication efforts of both McCain scorecards published to our carrier partners as well as carrier scorecard publication and highlight to carriers areas of opportunity for improvement needed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an expert level understanding of major business processes and associated data within the transportation and warehousing space
- Reporting and KPI tracking
- Identifies, gathers and interprets relevant data to assist with root cause analysis and problem resolution
- Drive continuous improvement within the logistics and warehousing teams
- Participate in cross-functional teams supporting supply chain process improvement projects
- Provide periodic training to ISC groups for report interpretation
- This position ensures that data is complete & accurate and challenges data results that are not consistent with trends and/or expectations of results.
- This role may be required to interface with business partners internally & externally – and help with getting data ready for Quarterly Business Reviews as well as weekly and monthly internal meetings (Operational Boardwalk meetings, ISC Finance Deep Dive mtg).
- This role is expected to prompt any discussions needed with Logistics Operations team on validating data and/or subjective insight on carrier or DC performance to help frame out full picture of service being performed by external business partners as well as provide insights and progress on Sustainability initiatives and KPIs (CO2 emissions, reduction of miles, zero landfill, etc) both internally and externally.
- Responsible for cataloging reports and metrics, process mapping, and SOP maintenance to ensure proper stakeholders are informed and engaged in results of our service and spend. May assist with collection of required supporting materials for annual audit. Focus on continuous improvement and on-going support of existing tools and processes.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in Customer Service / Logistics / Data Analytics / Finance role
- Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Finance, Data analytics, or Supply Chain
- Thorough, detail oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
- Results focused. Bias towards action, able to analyze multiple pieces of information and act decisively.
- Tact and diplomacy – ensure professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors – ability to build strong relationships.
- Understanding and exposure to SAP transactional research and error resolution would be a plus.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access a plus.
- Willing to learn best practices outside of the company so as to bring the knowledge into our processes
- Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong collaborative relationship building skills
- Self-motivated with leadership skills and a desire to learn and grow.
