Job description: AS Transport Company Ltd is looking for 6 full-time and permanent Long Haul Truck Drivers at 3080 Townline Road Abbotsford , BC V2T 5M2 . Wages are $25.17/hr and 50 hours/week.
Job Terms: Permanent but we also offer flexible schedules (Day, Night, Evening).
Employment Requirements:Completion of secondary school is usually required. On the job training is provided. A Class 3 license is required to drive straight trucks. A Class 1 license is required to drive articulated trucks. Air brake endorsement (Z) is required for drivers who operate vehicles equipped with air brakes. 0-1 years of experience as a truck driver. On the job training is also provided.
Duties: Operate and drive trucks with three or more axles to transport goods and material to destinations • Monitor the condition of assigned vehicles and equipment • Load and unload cargo • Ensure safety and security of cargo • Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections • Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers • Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in log book.
Work Location – Various locations across Canada and USA.
