We are looking for a Data Science Engineer to join our Advanced Customer Analytics team. Your job will be to support initiatives that improve client experience and outcomes. Your primary responsibility will be researching and developing a global customer analytics record that will be used to identify insights and develop targeted, digital interventions.

What You Will Do

You will be at the center of where Advanced Analytics meets customer experience. As part of a team dedicated to Advanced Customer Analytics, you will help enable predictive servicing solutions, use Natural Language Processing techniques to understand the voice of the customer, experiment with journey analytics to resolve pain points in our online experiences. You will support the research and development of a global customer analytics record – the foundation for all other work.

The Role Will Be Directly Responsible For

Supporting the creation of a global customer analytics record encompassing all elements of meaningful customer data, curated for Advanced Analytics & AI use cases

Identifying and investigate data for ingestion across all customer (and key B2B intermediary) experiences including sales, marketing, operations, web, mobile, call centers, and more.

Coordinating with global advanced analytics teams, business stakeholders, and technology teams to facilitate last mile delivery of reusable capabilities that can be easily deployed into new markets

Developing creative ways to source customer data to support modeling efforts, utilizing structured and unstructured data using Big Data technologies

Providing thought leadership influences how data insights are delivered to the client throughout Manulife

Typical Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ year’s experience, or Master’s with any of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Math, Engineering, Operation Research, Statistics, or other related quantitative fields.

Professional Experience may include

Understanding of modern data architecture, data science engineering, data modeling, data quality and manipulation of structured and unstructured data sources using state-of-the-art cloud computing technologies (Azure)

Experience delivering analytics & machine learning products, with a deep understanding of agile product delivery in an enterprise environment

Some familiarity with Big Data processing and building Data APIs. Experience with automated data quality frameworks is a plus.

Entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to creating rigorous, high-quality insights from data, at scale.

Excellent communication skills and ability to engage the enterprise across multiple specializations with analytically backed compelling stories

Prior experience with insurance or financial services is not required
