Our Program Management Office is seeking a Manager, Capital Projects Group (CPG) Risk Programs to lead the risk management at a project level and manage risk at a program level through risk identification, qualitative and quantitative (cost and schedule) risk analysis and risk response planning, monitoring and control.

What will I be doing?

  • Reporting to Senior Manager, CPG Risk Management and responsible for the leadership and delivery of risk management across a program.
  • Plans, designs, implements and maintains the risk management process for CPG for the assigned program.
  • Supports the development of risk registers and key risk indicators, through meeting with risk owners, hosting workshops to identify and assess risks, development of action plans , identification of quantitative risk indicators to track how risk exposures may be developing/trending
  • Monitors CPG exposure to litigation and claims through the application of risk management programs; including mitigating reputational risk for assigner delivery program
  • Delivers presentations and provides risk management expertise on risk frameworks and processes for assigner delivery program in CPG
  • Provide consultative services to delivery program on risk management matters e.g. development of project risk registers, development of issues templates, environmental scans of risks across a particular industry
  • Builds risk management competence through increasing understanding risk management principles e.g. leading risk workshops, developing courses, online education and participating in orientation of all staff, management and senior management in CPG.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years’ progressively senior leadership experience and/or related experience in a Risk Management
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Analytics, Engineering, Construction Management) or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
  • Demonstrable exceptional technical skill in risk management acumen – including the building and running of detailed quantitative cost and schedule risk models and the interpretation of analysis results.
  • Demonstrable exceptional skilled experience using industry standard software packages and applications – Active Risk Manager (ARM), Primavera Risk Analyser (PRA), @Risk
  • Exceptionally skilled in risk management theory, principles and practice.
  • Comprehensive understanding of broader project controls theory, principles and practice.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to motivate a team, set high standards and clear expectations, manage expectations and outputs.
  • Highly articulate with practiced presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to communicate / interface effectively across the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills and confident leading workshops with multiple attendees.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing competing objectives of external and internal stakeholders and recognizing materiality.
  • Highly skilled at addressing and engaging senior project managers one-on-one and in a workshop environment.
