Our HQ houses a lab to test human physiology and material properties, a product creation shop to craft product concepts, a testing pool to evaluate new ideas (not to mention we are right beside the mighty Fraser River and Pacific Ocean for real-world testing), and a full manufacturing center to carefully craft our marine gear. We are a collective group of people so obsessed with every detail that we control every facet of the product experience and challenge the status quo of how marine gear is designed and built.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist on a 4 months contract to join our production team in Burnaby, BC. You will be responsible for formulating, implementing, and managing the design and control of manufacturing systems to ensure that Mustang Survival delivers high quality products to market.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Support Manufacturing Engineers and assist projects focused on continuous improvement to increase production capacity and quality.
  • Prepare labor standards through method analysis and time studies.
  • Develop work instructions, drawings, tests, modifications, test equipment for existing or new products while ensuring production readiness.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in development on testing and validation of the new product, process, and system.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Certificate/Bachelor Degree in Engineering related background with a focus in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with technical writing of process documents.
  • Enjoy hands-on work with machines and tools.
  • Analytical and proven track record of problem solving and issue management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects with minimum guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to generate process instructions and reports.

Assets:

  • Experience in a manufacturing clothing environment would be an asset.
