Job description: The Manufacturing Operations Associate, Material Management is responsible for working within the Manufacturing Operations Material Management teams to ensure raw material accuracy and availability. They will be responsible for providing logistical support for the movement, storage, control and protection of raw materials. The Manufacturing Operations Associate, Material Management proactively identifies continuous improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and reduce waste.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the receipt and inspection of raw materials
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date accuracy of inventory of room temperature, -20°C and 4°C raw material by performing inventory cycle counts
  • Responsible for the organization and storage of manufacturing raw materials
  • Prepares, labels, picks and pulls daily raw material inventory according the manufacturing schedule
  • Discards expired materials (raw, in-process or finished goods) while adhering to safety practices
  • Maintains raw material and finished goods according to their status within our quality system (on-test, inspection, pending disposition and released)
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of non-inventoried materials by performing periodic counts and preparing purchase requisitions
  • Responsible for performing accurate inventory transactions in ERP system
  • Shift and overtime work may be required
  • Identify and propose continuous improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and reduce waste

Qualifications

  • A high School Diploma with up to 3 years of experience in team environment or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of Operational systems would be an asset (e.g. DDMRP, SAP)
  • In-depth knowledge in word-processing and spreadsheets
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others and be able to work in a team
  • Physical ability to lift 25-30lbs
