Job description: Adecco is currently hiring a Manufacturing Operator for our Client in Ottawa ON. The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for removing sharp edges and burrs from precision CNC machined and ground parts prior to assembly. The job requires attention to detail and the desire to ensure quality. The successful candidate will be able to work individually and occasionally as part of a group. As a member of this dynamic team, the successful candidate will also participate in group problem solving and the development of Lean solutions. This position has the opportunity for full time hire.

Key Responsibilities: * Remove sharp edges and/or burrs, that result from the machining process, from a variety of manufactured products

• Examination of surfaces in order to find defects
• Manually polish metal surfaces to the required specification
• Visually examine and evaluate the output of the process
• Complete required production documents
• Follow COVID 19 precautions
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area

Knowledge and Skills: * Able to work in a team environment

• Cooperative and pleasant disposition
• Hand-Eye coordination, and a desire to work with your hands
• Good judgement and decision making skills
• Effective communication skills (in English)
• A solid work ethic
• Ability to work under time constraints
• Strong desire for quality workmanship in a production environment
• Good attendance and reliability
• Detail oriented
