MANUFACTURING OPERATOR, PRE ROLL

We are seeking for a Manufacturing Operator, Pre Roll to join our team in Nisku, AB. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring proper and safe operations of Pre Roll Equipment in the manufacturing team.

There are a total of 4 vacant positions in this role, we are looking to fill for two (2) Operators in the day shift (5:30am-2:00pm) and two (2) Operators in the evening shift (2:30pm-11:00pm).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the pre roll production equipment by ensuring safe operations and completing preventative maintenance
  • Perform equipment checks as needed to ensure proper operations and minimal downtime
  • Provide training to staff equipment use and processes as needed
  • Ensure equipment is operational and working properly, performing preventative maintenance checks regularly
  • Complete paperwork and reports as required by the manufacturing department, including but not limited to work orders, log books and training records
  • Provide training to staff on equipment use, processes, and Health & Safety as needed
  • Conduct progressive discipline on employees as needed
  • Set up training as required by staff
  • Fulfill the responsibilities of Shift Lead in their absence by providing leadership to the team
  • Accurately record and submit tracking through Sage
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a fast-paced working environment would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in a production and manufacturing setting would be considered an asset

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with various departments and levels of management
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to use computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Sage
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to audit reports as needed
