Job Description Summary
The Manufacturing Process Specialist is an expert on the processes performed in a specific area. The Manufacturing Process Specialist will apply critical thinking and knowledge to assist in troubleshooting daily issues in the work area. They will provide assistance in coordinating work schedules and supervising personnel on their daily activities. The Manufacturing Process Specialist also provides general support and assistance for a variety of activities in Operations on an as needed basis.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and approved documents to ensure processes are completed as per standard.
Set up and operate equipment utilized in the area. Able to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Regularly corresponds with peers in cross functional departments to complete work and tasks within the department.
Is an expert and go-to person for processes performed in a specific manufacturing area.
Involvement in improvement projects as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to improve efficiency in our process. Drive the culture of continuous improvement in the team.
Assists in streamlining workflow, as well as developing and implementing new processes. Leads Tech Transfer activities.
Investigate and understand all processes involved in In depth knowledge in their specific area. Aids the group in troubleshooting and consult with Supervisors as needed.
Manages routine work independently and receives general instructions on new tasks or assignments.
Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Shift work and overtime may be required as per demand.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field.
In depth knowledge in equipment and ability to troubleshoot when issues arise.
Communicate effectively with others and be able to work in a team.
Intermediate skill level in Google Suite applications, such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms
Proven ability to effectively collaborate, multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift 25 – 30 pounds, requiring manual dexterity and versatility.
