As the Marketing Coordinator you will work closely with the Business Development Manager to drive marketing and business development related goals. You will be responsible for making regular visits to insurance brokers and property managers in an effort to build strong, long-term business relationships. You will also take ownership of the Company social media presence and help build the brand.

The Technical Side of What You’ll Bring

  • Managing company social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, through Hootsuite account
  • Collecting, creating and publishing content to social media platforms, as well as responding to comments and messages through those platforms
  • Handling PR and Google review responses
  • Maintaining company website, ensuring all the information and team bios are up to date
  • Designing and printing all company marketing materials, using Adobe Creative Cloud programs or external vendors
  • Planning, scheduling and promoting our CE classes using Eventbrite and MailChimp, as well as assisting with the day of events, welcoming guests and ensuring all the behind the scenes activities are running smoothly. Designing and preparing all necessary materials for the class presenter ahead of time.
  • Visiting our network of insurance professionals, representing the company and developing relationships with key individuals in the industry
  • Organizing our customer appreciation events throughout the year i.e. booking vendors, designing and sending invitations, organizing staff volunteers
  • Attending industry events to represent company such as golf tournaments and tradeshows, as well as preparing booths for such events
  • Assisting in planning various events for the company internally through the year i.e. Company breakfasts and Christmas party
  • Collecting monthly sales reports, as well as other data to assist in reaching our sales goals

  • Capability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers and clients, internally and externally
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practices

The Qualifications You Will Have

  • Post-secondary education in Sales/Marketing, Business or Communications plus 2-4 years of experience in a marketing coordination role or equivalent combination
  • Proficiency with web based tools and applications including Microsoft Office, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Adobe Illustrator
  • Flexible, able to work longer hours when needed
  • Marketing experience in the insurance industry is an asset

Wage:$21/hr- $25/hr depending upon experience
