Job description: An international classical music festival and academy now entering its 16th season, Toronto Summer Music (TSM) brings world-renowned performing artists to Toronto for an unparalleled combination of concerts, guest lectures, and Masterclasses.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for building and growing the TSM audience. The Marketing Coordinator works in close collaboration with the Executive Director, Artistic Operations Manager, Development Manager, and other administrative staff.
Excellent computer skills, excellent social media skills, an ability to multi-task under pressure, and a background in classical music are preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Implement marketing plan
E-newsletters and digital communication
Social media management
Digital advertising
Assisting with production and editing of digital House Programme
Coordinating promotional exchanges with community groups and arts organization
Event liaising – (in the event we are able to host any live events ie: outdoor concerts)

Other duties as required

Requirements: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficiency in Microsoft office and excel
Strong social media skills – Facebook, Instagram
A knowledge of classical music and arts management experience preferred
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and early mornings
Funding for this position is from the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Applicants must fit the eligibility for that program. Applicant must be:
a) between 18 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
(b) a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
(c) legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents
