Our location produces lightweight foam, Jiffy lite bubble padded mailers, bubble wrap products, and other protective packaging products. LOCATION: Brampton Manufacturing Facility, 95 Glidden Road, Brampton, ON, L6T-2H8, Canada
HOURS: Full-time hours (40), however weekly hours may vary. This role is overtime eligible.
SHIFT: 2nd Shift (3:30pm to 11:30 pm) Monday to Friday
The ideal candidate should be willing to provide coverage for vacations, sick days, other LOAs, weekends (when needed), etc. for business needs.
JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time

Overview:
Material Handler is responsible for safe operation of Forklift without damage to stock or equipment and transportation of material to and from the production lines including proper storage of material efficiently. This role will also be responsible for carrying out shipper/receiver duties that involve all aspects of shipping and receiving operations including lift truck operation and shipping documentation. Candidate in this role is required to know, understand and follow all Sealed Air’s Policies that pertain to Brampton manufacturing facility. Training will be provided.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safety – Be able to maintain high level of production, safety and housekeeping standards.
- Quality – support all quality systems along with focus to minimize quality rework.
- Dependable – will be mechanically inclined with good work and attendance record
- Communication – possesses strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates the willingness to learn SAP to successfully fulfill shipper duties.
- Initiative / Self – Motivation – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
- 2 – 4-year degree or pursuing degree – preferred, not required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word)
- Successful completion of Certified Forklift Training is mandatory.
- Must be able to solve mathematical problems at high school level.
- Ability and willingness to switch shifts to cover vacation, sickness, overtime or any other situation as deemed necessary by management.
- Flexible work schedule based upon project demands and business needs.
- Lift truck experience preferred
- First Aid / CPR / AED is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. several times each day.
- Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time.
- Shipping and receiving experience is an asset.
