What you’ll do

• Transcribe medical dictation such as histories, consultations and physicians’ reports from dictation equipment and/or rough draft.
• Copy and distribute reports and correspondence as required.
• Perform a variety of clerical duties such as booking appointments, answering the telephone and maintaining files and records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Completion of Grade 12.
• Graduation from an approved program in Medical Transcription.
• One (1) year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

You will have the ability to:

• Type 60 wpm.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Deal with others effectively.
• Organize work.
• Operate related equipment.
• Physically carry out the duties of the position.
