Manager Operations Support – Supply Chain Operations

As Manager Operations Support – Supply Chain Operations, you will report to the Director, Distribution – Supply Chain Operations, and be responsible for managing people processes and technology supporting our Network Distribution Operations. Collaborating with the Manager, Distribution Operations and Business Unit Supply Chain teams to align volume forecasts and other critical business requirements. Responsible for continuous improvement and ensuring that operations are flowing efficiently and effectively are key objectives. Planning labour and assigning priorities will be a key function. Aligning closely with the Transportation Management team to coordinate schedules and delivery requirements is another key responsibility. Finally, ensuring that IT systems are operating as expected and fully tested supporting the ERP upgrade is an important aspect of the role.

You will also be responsible for managing the overall service, quality, and the cost of the operation, demonstrating Distribution Management leadership in a variety of ways, championing transformation change management, and effectively managing relationships with senior leaders and peers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Distribution and Warehouse Operations 3PL Management

  • Support the National Fulfillment Operation Strategy
  • Efficiency and Service
  • Safety
  • Transformational Change
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs in alignment with the overall business plan
  • Inbound Operations
  • Inventory Control & Cycle Counting – including SOX controls
  • Forward Fulfillment – all channels
  • Reverse Logistics

Quality and Cost Management

  • Develop and track operational and quality SLAs to improve the performance of the team
  • Compare operational and quality parameters to external benchmarks, to continuously improve performance across the Rogers Distribution Network
  • Ensure adherence to budgets and costs
  • Drive cost reductions and productivity improvements across the Distribution operation

Distribution Management Leadership

  • Provide thought leadership on Distribution Management
  • Champion of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for Employees and Visitors
  • Drive and support selection and implementation of an ERP upgrade to improve customer experience and reduce operational costs
  • Serve as the point of contact for technical, process, tactical and operational considerations related to the operations

Leadership and Change Management

  • Champion transformational change management, collaborating with and influencing key business partners
  • Cultivate and effectively manage relationships with senior leaders and peers, and coach and manage the professional development of direct reports

WHAT YOU HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field

  • Professional Certification in Supply Chain / Logistics / Transportation preferred (e.g., P. Log., CITT)
  • 5 years of Supply Chain experience, with demonstrated expertise in Distribution and Warehouse Management, 3PL Experience or related field
  • People development and management experience. Strong leadership skills, and prior experience leading and coaching teams
  • Demonstrated ability to apply process excellence methodology and tools e.g., Lean, Six Sigma / Kaizen
  • Experience with the implementation and use of leading Warehouse Management Systems. Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle preferred
  • Working knowledge of Accounting and Finance, as it relates to Supply Chain Operations
  • Strategic mindset, with honed analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and executive presence
  • Effective interpersonal skills, and ability to influence and manage change
  • Be an advocate for a customer focused culture, and showcase the value of the Supply Chain organization as a valued business partner
