We are looking to hire an experienced Director, Business Development National, for our Road Logistics division based in Toronto.
YOUR ROLE
The Director for Business Development will lead the development of Road Logistics through customer excellence and role model behavior, while acting as liaison between sales and the business unit
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops new value proposition for Road Logistics and push marketing activities (ie. creating tools for sales)
Collaborative engagement in sales activities with sales team members
Identify new target markets and areas
Create senior level entry points to key accounts
Support pricing strategies for RFQ’s and clients
Customer retention engagement
Leads annual GRI process
Ensures proper transitioning of customer to operations in line with customer requirements
Inputs and timely update of sales activities utilizing CRM system
Preparing and conducting customer visits, presentations, negotiations, QBR’s, contracts,
Other duties as assigned by the Company
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Professional Experience Required
+5 years experience in Canadian Road Logistics
Knowledge Required
Understanding of Road Logistics, including operations, service offerings and overall market
Understanding of finance and p/l experience would be beneficial
Education Required
Post secondary education preferred
Skills Required
Sales and negotiation
Customer development and retention
Interpersonal and communication
