Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Network Administrator, Information Technology who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Operations & IT Service Desk and is responsible for collaborating with Infrastructure and Operations team members to support enterprise solutions based on accepted architectural standards. The Network Administrator actively supports RCM initiatives by documenting requirements, attending meetings and reporting progress.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

English is essential. Bilingualism is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Previous Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, College Diploma in IT or equivalent industry certification(s) is highly desirable.
Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in operating and monitoring enterprise grade networks across multiple physical sites.
Recent hands-on technical and functional experience with enterprise networking and security solutions from Cisco and HP.

Understanding systems from a top down perspective and integration points;

Ability to work well in a team environment and to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships;
Ability to actively listen and understand client issues.

Knowledge:

Enterprise experience in operating, monitoring and troubleshooting complex networks, specifically LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi.
Experience with DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing and switching and routing protocols
Knowledge of enterprise-grade IT processes for operations
Knowledge in the following software technologies preferred: MS Active Directory, Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019, MS PowerShell, and the MS System Management Suite including Operations Manager and Configuration Manager
Knowledge and use of Solarwinds for monitoring network performance and reporting
Knowledge of the following hardware technologies preferred; Cisco and HP networking solutions
Good understanding of IPS and secure mail and web gateways.
ITIL knowedge or certification highly desirable
