We are looking to hire experienced Operational Care Representatives for our Sea , Air and Road Logistics offices in Montreal.
YOUR ROLE
As the Operational Care Center (OCC) Coordinator, you are responsible to manage all day-to-day activities for the transportation of goods including pharmaceutical products and dangerous goods. Your responsibility is to communicate with Seafreight carriers, co-loaders, truckers, customs brokers and other vendors as well as Customer Care teams across Canada. You will provide solutions in case of any discrepancies, holds or delays in the movements of goods and will communicate with the Customer Care locations. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers is essential. You ensure neutrality and high quality across all Canadian branches.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to ensure the smooth flow of the movement of shipments, resolving any discrepancies in the movement.
- Arrange for transport/ shipping documentation and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of goods and monitoring movement of goods.
- Arrange pickup and delivery of goods.
- Communicate and coordinate with Sea & Air freight carriers, co-loaders, truckers, customs brokers and other service providers.
- Arrange rush payments and collect COD payments.
- Data entry and ensuring data quality.
- Work closely with the Customer Care Locations and notify in case of holds, delays and deviations.
- Resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
- Monitor holds or discrepancies in the movement of goods.
- Proactive response to service issues.
- Arrange for insurance coverage for cargo.
- Gathering of claim documents and facts if claims is involved.
- Follow policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance with all regulations pertaining to Pharmaceutical and Dangerous Goods products..
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Professional experience required:
- Minimum 3-5 years in a freight environment
Knowledge required:
- Strong foundation in North American freight operations, and carriers.
Education required:
- College or University diploma or degree in Supply Chain or Logistics a definite asset.
Skills required:
- Exceptional English communication skills both written and verbal. Knowledge of French.
- Exceptional customer service skills dealing with customers at a high level.
- Strong knowledge of supply chains and how they work.
- Strong computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint as well as the ability to learn new software suites and Transportation Management Systems quickly and efficiently.
- Strong dispute resolution skills.
- Able to thrive in a high-energy, fast moving environment
