Our expectations
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Expedition Supervisor is responsible for completing the workshift for their area of activity, according to established productivity and quality standards, while maintaining a pleasant work atmosphere with their team. The incumbent will work closely with their colleagues to not only meet the objectives for their sector but also maximize the use of all resources and personnel at the distribution centre. The Expedition Supervisor will be responsible for a team of unionized employees.
Your role
Plan, coordinate, and manage employees’ work and evaluate their productivity according to the daily volume of each sector under your responsibility
Ensure daily operations are completed according to set quality and productivity standards
Follow up on quality and productivity results within your team
Take necessary measures concerning employees who do not comply with set quality and productivity standards
Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness rules and company policies at the distribution centre while respecting the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Foster a good working environment within your team, and promote the company’s values daily
Fill out and analyze various documents and reports, make necessary corrections, and submit recommendations to the manager to improve operations
Perform any other related tasks
Job Requirements
The qualifications we are looking for
College degree in logistics, production and operations management, replenishment, administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience and/or education)
Two (2) years of experience in a similar position
Experience managing unionized staff
Functional bilingualism (an asset)
Ease of use with information technologies and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with an integrated warehouse management system (WMS)
Ability to react and make decisions quickly, team player attitude, and ability to work under pressure
Customer service and results driven approach
