Position Title: Part-Time Professor, Arts Administration & Cultrual Management
Status: PT Professor
Hours: up to 6 hours
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Media and Creative Arts
Campus/Location: Lakeshore Campus
Salary: Academic start salaries are determined by qualifications and years of related experience.

What you will do:
A leader in polytechnic education, Humber invites talented, committed individuals interested in teaching on a part-time basis to take the first step in joining our dynamic faculty team for the Fall and Winter semesters. We are accepting applications for part-time Professor in the Arts Administration & Cultural Management programs.

The incumbent will be responsible for teaching courses within the Arts Administration & Cultural Management and related Programs. Candidates will be responsible for creating an effective adult learning environment, facilitating learning and classroom interaction, assessing student progress, providing student feedback, and participating in the curriculum development process using a collaborative model of engagement.

What You Bring to Humber
The successful candidate must hold credentials at the Bachelor’s level (Masters or higher preferred) with a minimum of 7 years of work experience in Arts Management. The successful candidate must also have experience teaching adults in a community college and/or university setting where they have had the opportunity to develop their teaching practice, understand the learning process, and demonstrate their dedication to student success. Due to the nature of this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent creativity, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills, and evaluation abilities along with a critical approach to teaching based on evolving best practices and learner-centric models of content delivery. A holistic approach Arts Management and demonstrated ability with the current set of digital tools and workflow commonly employed by Arts Managers is required, as well as demonstrated curiosity in exploring the current and near future roles in Arts Management and related industries. While courses are likely to be delivered in-person, experience teaching in an online or hybrid format (development and implementation) is an asset.
