Job title: PeopleSoft Finance Functional Consultant

Job description: Reporting to Manager, EMR and ERP, we are looking for a proactive PeopleSoft Finance Functional Consultant within Information Technology that partners with the business users, using a team approach to move Bayshore forward in meeting its business objectives through the use of technology. This includes working on agreed priorities, following through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Provides a comprehensive approach to implementation of related IT applications with emphasis on the betterment of client care, customer service, improved efficiency, improved quality and optimal use of resources. This resource will be the team lead for the PeopleSoft Finance Team

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with user groups to further develop solutions with a global proactive approach.

• Functional Expert on the PeopleSoft Finance Module and has provided solution expertise to business resources
• Perform business analysis while working with clients to gather business requirements, to determine the fit/gap in the planning and development of new system functionality and/or related business processes
• Evaluate business needs to develop understanding of true requirements and translate into solution design document
• Ensures that system modules are developed, revised, thoroughly tested, and implemented in concurrence with user requirements.
• Present, explain, and validate analysis with client to ensure proposed solution meets their business needs
• Partner with the business on the implementation of necessary business and systems changes
• Serve as a functional source of expertise in supporting the maintenance and/or development of process improvements and changes. Perform benchmarking exercises to help determine the future/strategic direction of the systems
• Prepare specifications and work with technical developers Prepare and execute test plans and script and co-ordinate the execution with business subject matter experts
• Work with PeopleSoft developers on solution design, issue resolution and testing
• Prepare reference documentation, training materials, etc.
• Can function both in an Agile or Waterfall environment
• Has experience working with Azure DevOps for Backlog Management
• Develops reports to be generated by the system as requested by the user areas, and duly approved following prescribed methodologies.
• Achieves a smooth transfer to the customer for user acceptance testing inclusive of the user manuals. This includes the resolution of agreed upon problems.
• Fosters an interest in continuing education and facilitates self-directed learning by making information available to staff. Participates in activities to foster own professional development.
• Leads the PeopleSoft Finance team by managing day to day activities

Qualifications

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Experience working in Oracle PeopleSoft Finance
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in PeopleSoft Finance implementations and/or implementation of functionality
