Job description: Sheridan faculty provide academic leadership to programs and courses within their areas of expertise and contribute to the creation of a learning-centred environment where students can develop to their full potential. They also contribute to College, Faculty, and program excellence by collaborating on a variety of initiatives such as new program development, applied research and alternative delivery strategies. Within this context of inspiring innovation and excellence, the Pilon School of Business is currently seeking a part-time Professor to teach in Office Administration -Health Services.

What You’ll be Doing
- Preparing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course outcomes
- Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
- Evaluating student progress / achievement
- Participating in program and college activities as required
- Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
- Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment
About You
You have a passion for sharing your knowledge with others and contributing to the advancement of your field.
You respect equity and diversity and value participating in and creating safe and inclusive environments at work and in the community.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
You are an agile individual with an ability to respond and adapt to change while using your problem-solving skills to most appropriately and effectively support each student’s unique needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of Degree or Masters in a related field of study
- A minimum 5 years of professional experience in the health office administration level
- Previous teaching experience at a postsecondary level and/or adult training experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in their students
- Commitment to life-long learning
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite
- Computer literacy with a Learning Management System /Web Delivery Software would be considered an asset
