The Receiving Lead coordinates and executes the activities of the associates who are receiving international and domestic shipments, QA receiving, and direct to stock put-away’s.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the activities of the receiving dock with the schedule produced from DC planning.
- Responsible for posting systematic transactions in accordance to receiving process for outstanding purchase orders and internal product transfers.
- Provide documentation to finance as proof of delivery.
- Responsible for executing designated tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct root cause analysis on receiving issues.
- Establish and maintain operational procedures promoting acceptable process adherence.
- Responsible for achieving or exceeding functional area KPI’s.
- Ensure that receiving associates follow all mandated safety requirements and Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to actively listen, seeks information, and asks questions to ensure the understanding of the underlying concerns of others.
- Ability to understand issues and make systematic and rational judgments based on relevant information.
- Ability to oversee other warehouse functions as needed, such as outbound and inventory control.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 3+ years prior experience leading a receiving team in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency including MS Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint. Microsoft ERP/CRM experience is a plus.
- Previous experience scheduling deliveries with freight forwarder is desired.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
