Reporting to the Operations Manager of Microbiology Department in the Shared Hospital Laboratory, you will be responsible for performing all routine duties and special procedures in Microbiology Department.
Requirements:
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) in Microbiology
- MLT with related Microbiology experience
- Working knowledge of laboratory computer systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills
- Demonstrates values consistent with the hospital Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation.
- Utilize protective equipment provided and identify and reports hazards
- Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community
- Excellent work performance and attendance record
