Job title: Religious Education Director

Job description: – Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Theology or Christian studies is required.

– Several years of experience as a religious education manager or equivalent managerial experience is required

– Speaking some Korean is required, as most church members and children are Korean-Canadians, and some smaller children may still be unilingual Korean speakers.

Main duties:

1. Provide support and guidance to pastors in Education Dept.

2. Oversee and evaluate along with pastors and executives of Education Department, the programs and activities of DMC’s Education Department with vision, purpose and priority;

3. Communicate effectively with Sr. Pastor and Associate Pastors of DMC regarding any matters of Education Department;

4. Lead Korean Ministry of Children in developing, implementing and maintaining an ongoing ministry for Children (Infants, Toddlers and preschoolers) that involves worship, discipleship community and mission;

5. Provide religious education, spiritual guidance and moral support to children and young adult members of the church.

Working conditions:

Full-time permanent position: 30.0 hours per week

Salary: $3,400.00 per month ($40,800.00 per annum)

Vacation: 14 days paid holidays after one year of employment

Benefits: One month of additional salary as a bonus each year.
