Job description: Postle Design Build, a high-end residential construction company, is seeking a talented Project Manger to join our team and assist with the construction management of multiple custom homes throughout the lower mainland with primary operating areas of West Vancouver, North Vancouver and Vancouvers Westside.

The successful applicant will be proficient in the following day to day operations:

  • Client Relations and Management (scheduling updates, budget updates, client meetings, and project updates)
  • Budgeting and Tendering
  • Sub-trade contracting, negotiating and coordination.
  • Contract management
  • Working with Site Supervisors to ensure timelines are met and avoid unnecessary delays.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and background:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working for as a Project Manager on projects valued at over $1,000,000.
  • A formal education relating to Construction Project Management (BCIT ABET or equivalent diploma or degree)
  • Solid knowledge of wood frame construction
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects and/ or Merlin Projects, Excel, Numbers and Gantt Charts
  • Some familiarity of Autocad and Sketchup is preferred
  • Architectural, structural, and mechanical blue print reading and technical knowledge of residential construction
  • Ability to perform take-offs and estimate quantities for costing purposes
  • Computer literacy, Apple and Windows operating systems.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Understanding of Mandarin is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental principles, procedures, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hold a valid BC drivers license.
