Job title: Safety and Logistics Manager
Job description: Novacom is a leading Construction Manager and General Contractor based in Surrey, BC and working throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. We are looking for a Safety + Logistics Manager (CSO). This role will provide Safety oversight to all of our project sites, and will also assist the Director of Field Operations in Labour + Logistics Coordination. This is a great role for exposure to all of our sites and integration into our field team.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO)
- Occupational First Aid Level II
- Knowledge of WCB Worksafe Regulations, policies + guidelines
- Experience overseeing safety program for jobsites or at company level
- Organization skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
Personal Characteristics:
- Energetic – engaged personality that takes on complex challenges with enthusiasm
- Independent – ability to communicate effectively with team, but also act authoritatively on your own
- Organizer- meticulous in organization of safety submissions, documentation and auditing
- Personable – able to build and maintain solid relationships with our team and external groups (WCB etc).
- Driven – self-motivated and driven to push things forward no matter the circumstance
- Calm – ability to manage fast paced estimating environment and stay calm under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Safety
- Run the Health + Safety Program
- Monitor safety compliance of workers and sub-contractors
- Facilitate and participate in site inspections, and implementing corrective actions on all project sites
- Proactively identify hazards and implement corrective measures on all project sites
- Prepare site safety plans, conduct hazard assessments, incident investigations and risk assessments for project sites
- Ensure all accidents, incidents, and injuries are properly reported to all appropriate parties
- Maintain COR certification and conduct internal audits
- Logistics
- Assist with Mobilization and Demobilization for all project sites
- Assist with ongoing requirements for tools and equipment on sites
